Join us on our SPECIAL 5th edition and paddle this magical adventure across one of the oldest and most beautiful lakes in the World, Lake Ohrid.
'LAKE OHRID SUP CROSSING' is celebrating it’s 5th anniversary. For this special edition the team from Paddle Klub has created 3 categories. New to the L.O.S.C. format is the TECHNICAL RACE for paddlers using both hardboards & inflatables. The Tech Race will take place on the 19th of July (Saturday), while on the other hand our well known categories for this event the 23km Long-distance Race & the 26km ‘SUP Adventure’ for recreational paddlers will take place on the 20th of July (Sunday), paddling along the mesmerizing coastline of Lake Ohrid. These magical SUP adventures full of sunshine, fresh air, great people and lots of fun are truly the perfect mix of ingredients for an unforgettable event.
The 23km LONG-DISTANCE RACE for both hardboards and inflatables is a long and demanding challenge for anyone that is into endurance races, definitely a great place to practice for some of the major events on the SUP calendar. The multiple Slovenian champion Luka Kozar from 'SUP Klub' hold the records at the moment with an incredible time of 2h 29min 52sec in the men's category and in the women's category the record is held by the then 14 year old Lena Nowak from 'RTW Racibórz Poland' with an amazing time of 2h 41min 49sec.
Our most popular category and the last category on the event calendar is the 26km ADVENTURE and it's meant for recreational paddlers. It's a guided group tour from our club members from Paddle Klub and the whole 'Crossing' lasts from 6 to 8 hours depending on the number of people registered and the weather conditions that day. This category is limited to 100 paddlers.
During the Long-distance race and recreational SUP adventure, paddlers will be passing by the famous villages Ljubanishta, Trpejca, Gradishte, Peshtani, Elshani, Lagadin, Konjsko before arriving at our final destination in the City of Ohrid.
L.O.S.C. 2025 is open to anyone that owns their own SUP equipment or that will rent from our SUP school. All paddlers interested in joining us with tandem or dragon boards, be sure to contact the organizer first. Undoubtedly for L.O.S.C. you will need to be properly prepared, luckily we have till the 19th of July to do so.
The date for this ‘LAKE OHRID SUP CROSSING’ event might change depending on the weather and water conditions during this time of the season. So get paddling and we hope to see you next summer on Lake Ohrid.
